![]() There are many ways to earn credits, and how you go about it is entirely up to you. Your rebuy cost can be found in the right hand panel in your ship and is generally 10% of the full cost of the ship + modules. Whatever you do, always remember the golden rule Don't fly what you can't rebuy! If you are ever destroyed you need to be able to afford insurance to rebuy your ship and modules, or you lose it and start back in the basic Sidewinder. The basic concept of progression is to earn credits until you can afford the next best ship, which will in turn let you earn credits faster to buy the next best ship and so on and so forth. There will also be a welcome mission asking you to fly to a nearby system and land somewhere for an easy 10k credits if you want to do that.įrom here you are basically free to do whatever you like to start earning credits, within the means of your ship, modules and skill. If you do then you start in Asellus Primus at Baker's Prospect with the 1000 credits, a Sidewinder and an SRV. You will start the game in the starter system LHS 3447 at Trevithick Dock with 1000 credits and a Sidewinder if you don't own the Horizons season pass. Most everything you do will be making progress to at least one achievement anyway, so just learn the ropes and enjoy the game for the time being. I would suggest not worrying about the achievements yet, as most of them will be well beyond your means for sometime. In either case, the game does not actually give you a multiplayer experience until after your first hyperspace jump. You can switch to open at anytime, but you will be much safer in solo to begin with. Once you feel confident enough piloting your ship, I recommend starting the game in solo mode or private group.
